THRIVE! I envision a thriving Fairfield, financially able to stand strong in this recession and beyond. I am committed to restoring economic balance in Fairfield and as a City Council Member I will:

• TACKLE THE BUDGET: Simply put — we must make economic decisions that work for Fairfield's financial stability — not against it. This City cannot spend money that it does not have — it's time to face that reality and devise creative alternatives or Fairfield will spiral into a cycle of irreversible financial decline.
• MAXIMIZE CREDIBILITY IN THE STATE CAPITOL: I am a Gubernatorial Appointee to the California Commission On Uniform State Laws and as such have experience and know-how in engaging the legislative process. It is imperative that the City Of Fairfield have a strong voice at the table in Sacramento when decisions are being made that will impact our residents. I will put my legislative experience to work for Fairfield.
• PROMOTE ROBUST COMMERCE: Other California cities have figured out how to create and sustain robust commerce in this State — and so can we. I will work in tandem with City, County, and State leadership to formulate a viable plan for revamping Downtown and bringing strong businesses to our Mall. I want to stop leaving Fairfield to spend disposable income.

TEAMWORK! I envision a community that works together to take Fairfield to the next level and realize its full potential. As a Member of the City Council, I will conduct monthly town hall meetings to create a forum for your voice to be heard. I come from a sports family, and understand one of the fundamental values of any successful sports organization — people support what they help to create and everyone wants to be part of a winning team. I believe in teamwork! Change requires momentum — and your collective voice will create that momentum. Strategic community partnerships are key. If I'm not listening to YOU — I cannot perform effectively on the City Council.

TOUGH ON CRIME! I envision a safe Fairfield. I grew up in Oakland and fully understand the impact of crime on the viability of our communities. Safety is essential for attracting strong businesses to Fairfield; creating a sustainable and growing revenue base; and providing top notch educational and mentoring opportunities for our youth. The City Council must give our heroes the tools they need to keep this community safe — effective ordinances and injunctions to stop crime before it happens are essential - an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
